Charles Fey created the first automatic slot machine in 1887 and he is believed to be the inventor of it. Slot machines were widely used in all types of casinos and the owner of slot machine gained approximately 50% of its profit every month. There is a unjust opinion that slot machines in the 19th century were bigger than present ones. In reality, they appeared the same as today's slot machines. Also, symbols were different back then; fruit symbols came out later as these entertainment machines began to expand. Having invented such advantageous machine Charles Fay began trading his slot machines and had a lot this way. The very first machine was dubbed the “Liberty Bell.”. At those times trading was increasing considerably that is why Charles Fay had a great opportunity to create his own gambling industry.
In 1907, Charles Fey decided to get deal with the Mills Novelty Company to produce a row of modern slot machines. Mills Liberty Bell was the first modification. The first fruit symbol slot machine had been named Operator Bell. That was created by Mills Company several years later.
